Parent Involvement

Within a cooperative environment there are some expected fulfillments each parent must make. Over the course of the year each family is responsible for one individual assignment, these are outlined in the parent handbook. Along with this assignment you are also expected to attend any mandatory meetings that are scheduled by the volunteer board of directors (2 per year), attend 3 toy clean per year and finally help organize and run our Annual fundraiser.

Whistle Stop does not require in class duty days.

Daily snacks are provided by parents for up to 16 children. Parents are not required to stay and serve snack. A detailed snack list is provided to each family. The snack menu is approved by the WDGPH. Parents are assigned snack days each month. If you have forgot your snack on an assigned day, you will be asked to go and purchase it and have it at the preschool by 10:00am. All children will bring in a LABELLED water bottle each morning.
